The Tamron 12-20mm f/2.8 (Model A084) is a compact, constant-aperture ultra-wide zoom for full-frame Nikon Z-mount (and Sony E-mount) mirrorless cameras. It was announced on July 15, 2026, with the Nikon Z version launching on August 27, 2026 (Sony E on July 30). It represents a design and branding shift for Tamron (“Toned Profile Next”), dropping the usual “Di III VXD” suffixes for a simpler name while packing professional-oriented controls.
